Safe-Shield® Lamps are shielded in a silicone coating, to help contain glass in the event that the bulb is broken. This coating, reduces the risk of injury caused by broken glass. They are specially designed to help contain glass, so that you may protect your work environment. There is no special wiring that is required with these bulbs. Safe-Shield® bulbs fit all standard fixtures, and are made for both indoor and outdoor use.
